Tecoma stans is an evergreen, flowering, erect large perennial shrub small tree with dense, strong branches that divide low on the trunk. Branches seem to droop with age. Grows to 3m tall with an equal spread.
Noted as developing as a small tree, growing 7-8m tall with a 3-4m spread in its native habitat. Fast-growing at a rate of 1.2-1.5m in p/a. Flowers are showy, fragrant, tubular to trumpet. They are bright yellow having a throat with redlines and 2ridges.
