Phoenix roebelenii is an evergreen, flowering perennial feather palm with small stature, rounded canopy, delicate lacy appearance and gracefully arching fronds. Known to be chomping in its native habitat. It closely resembles Phoenix dacrylifera in miniature.
This palm does not develop a crown shaft. Grows 2-4m tall with a spread of 1.8m and the stem diameter of 7.5-10cm. Growth is very initially, taking approximately 15 to 20 years to reach 4m at a rate of 15-20cm p/a.
