Millingtonia hortensis is an evergreen flowering erect perennial tree with an elongated crown of erect branches which grow almost vertically from the straight axis of the trunk. As the branches stretch upwards flexible tips droop downwards, giving the tree a slender graceful outline.
Grows 8-12m tall with a spread of 8-12m and a 60cm diameter trunk. After 50-60years. Noted as reaching 18-25m tall in its native habitat. Fast-growing at 60cm or more p/a.
