A low, clustering fan palm. Trunk surface is covered with leaf base fibres. Leaves are flat, bluish to greyish green, palmate. Male flowers are bright yellow. Female flowers are yellow-green. Fruits are globular to oblong, yellow to dull orange or brown. 2-6m high, 1m spread in size. it is used as a specimen plant, accent plant, barrier or screen.
Good for indoor use. Grows 2-3m tall with a 3m spread and a stem in its native habitat. Slow growing at approximately 15-30cm p/a.
