A slow-growing, compact shrub. Leaves are alternate, entire short-stalked, felt like, silver- grey. Flowers are bell-shaped, violet purple, in clusters, appearing in spring and summer. Fruits are two- halved capsules. Used as a specimen, screen, clipped hedge or random planting.
