Musa Paradisiaca is an evergreen, flowering, erect, herbaceous, perennial tree wit a singe vertical fleshy, succulent pseudo stem consisting of overlapping leaf sheaths. Often seen in clumps with multiple trunks and developing suckers. The crown of the plant is located at ground level.
Grows 2-3m tall with a 1-1.4m spread. Noted as reaching 9m tall with a 3-4m spread and a trunk diameter of 20cm, depending on the cultivar. Fast-growing at a rate of approximately 3m p/a.
