Callistemon Viminalis is an evergreen, flowering, erect multi-trunked, large perennial shrub or small tree with a dense canopy and graceful, pendulous branches. The canopy is narrow in proportion to its height. Its leaves are arranged alternately and are wide, more or less flat, very narrow elliptical to narrow egg-shaped with the narrower end towards the base and the other end tapering to a sharp point.
The flowers are bright red and are arranged in spikes. Flowering occurs from September to December and often sporadically throughout the year. Fast-growing to 6m tall with a spread after which it slows down.
