Bambusa ventricosa is a flowering, very vigorous, tight, clump-forming perennial bamboo grass with swollen internodes and mon. large, upright and occasionally branching canes that arch at the tip and up to 6cm in diameter. This is a clumping (symposia) type of bamboo. The tallest canes observed in the AP are 8m tall and have a weeping habit. noted as reaching up to 20m tall with a 6cm cane diameter in its native habitat slow growing.
