Duranta repens

A dense, fast-growing, spreading shrub. Branches are numerous, drooping and vine-like leaves are bright green, small, ovate-elliptic or obovate. Flowers are tubular, violet-blue in terminal racemes appearing in the spring and early summer. Fruits are golden yellow, rounded poisonous berries in clusters. Also known as Duranta erecta. Makes an excellent hedge, low scree, or background planting.
